What Is RAFT?

There is no other known service like it. In reconnection RAFT stands for Reveal Accept Forgive Transform

How Does RAFT Work?

Otherwise known as Reconnection and Floatation Therapy, this service is unique to Myself, Vivian McKinnon and Hydro-ease because it is built upon my own personal life experience of adversity in childhood and the impact it was having on my adult world, and now the professional skills and qualifications I have achieved.

This approach is also highly effective without the floatation ellement

This approaches uses the best elements of Havening Therapy, Hypnosis and Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, SPECTRUM Coaching and Compassionate Inquiry to assist in making sense of, and “dialing down” the impact of trauma.

When carried out in unison with floatation therapy RAFT helps guests to construct body and mind pathways to a better life through a great connection to self known as neuroception

First 60 minutes

The first sixty minutes is spent one-to-one with Vivian, a highly qualified, skilled and experienced holistic change specialist

Followed By

An hour of floatation to consolidate the therapeutic value and learning of what has just taken place.

We also offer a free 30 minute consultation where you can have a chat with Vivian to find out what RAFT can do for you.

Why does RAFT work?

RAFT is different because it deals with the root cause of the unhelpful coping or avoidance strategies. It works with the electrical, magnetic and chemical circuits of the mind and body to create a balance between our outside and inside world

The first part of RAFT can be delivered ‘content free.’ This means that unlike traditional talking therapies, the guest does not have to verbally repeat traumatic experiences or even to recall them (if they do not want to). We work with body memory.

It works by interrupting the neuro circuits that keep these responses active, re-routing the neuropathways and inviting the mind into delta wave activity which is associated with deep restful sleep and the body into a more regulated state. Increasing the connection to self.

Floatation in RAFT

When floatation follows the one to one session the guest is then offered a zero gravity and restricted environmental stimulation experience to invite the mind, body and self to connect with a feeling of safety and relaxation, thus promoting deep change and a shift in current perceptions.

Sessions last approximately two and a half hours from start to finnish – Without the float sessions are generally 60-75 minutes

I believe the Reconnection experience is unique to every individual and through a process of evaluation over an 18 month period we looked at the impact of 218 sessions using the Generalised Anxiety Disorder 7 scale (GAD7). Our guests reported a distinct move from pain to purpose with a 72% all over improvement across the 7 areas, with the improvements building up over multiple sessions.
